This is the first studio album from Keiko Matsui since bad diagnosis in 1990. No Borders isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. sixteen years ago, Keiko Matsui briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Light In The Rain”. If you love Keiko Matsui as much as I do, then Keiko Matsui No Borders is the CD for you!
Light In The Rain as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. The White Corner (4:43) a good melody. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. The Wind and The Wolf - A classic Keiko Matsui track. The sound of In The Mist is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. This track is a great song that still never gets old. It’s such an underrated song. Souvenir - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. I’ve found myself listening to Believer back to back and back many times.
