Since completing 1988’s ‘America’, Killing Joke fulfilled their contract with Savoy Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Killing Joke. On the Slovakia charts, superstar Killing Joke’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Outside The Gate touched my soul like nothing else.
My Love Of This Land is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Stay One Jump Ahead is another strong production from Killing Joke. Unto The Ends Of The Earth is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. The Calling is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Obsession is my favorite song on Outside The Gate. Tiahuanaco which is my favorite is a truly Killing Joke sounding song. Outside The Gate as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. I came to like America (Extended Mix). This track is nearly perfect if not perfect.
