This is one of the best Cd’s Koko Taylor has dropped to date. Jump for Joy is an amazing album, racked with beauty.It’s natural for Koko Taylor to take a stab at ‘Can’t Let Go’ considering her long-professed love for Ondskapt. Overall, I would highly recommend Jump for Joy CD.
Fishing Trip stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Hey Baby because the melody in the chorus is so good. I Don’t Want No Leftovers - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. I like It’s A Dirty Job because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. You have to get essence of the Jump For Joy’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. I think Stop Watching Your Enemies is the best song Koko Taylor has ever done. The Eyes Don’t Lie make listening to Koko Taylor like being in some sort of time warp. Time Will Tell - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Koko Taylor. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create.
