When you buy a Kronos Quartet album, you know exactly what you’re getting! There were many famous songs of Kronos Quartet available. Since Kronos Quartet last CD (Monk Suite) on Capitol Records back in 1985, I have felt a massive void in my life. Well, You Needn’t and Rhythm-a-ning is really good.
Rhythm-a-ning one of the best in my collection. In Crepuscule with Nellie you won’t find any flashy solos. In Off Minor / Epistrophy Kronos Quartet is at his best. It’s a great pleasure to listen to ‘Round Midnight from the beginning to the end. Misterioso gives taste of what makes Kronos Quartet special as a musician. It Don’t Mean A Thing is so unique, as each one of the songs is. When listening to Black and Tan Fantasy, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Brilliant Corners is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done.
