There is no doubt that L7 has talent. Now signed to L7’s Savoy Records, the title track from second album “Bricks Are Heavy” leads L7’s back-to-school campaign. I am not a real Metal: Alternative music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Bricks Are Heavy’ really is amazing. Bricks Are Heavy is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
The sound of Scrap is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Some call Pretend We’re Dead from Bricks Are Heavy as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. What sets Diet Pill apart is L7’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. This song stands out greatly from the others. Slide - This one is lively and fun. One More Thing is another favourite of mine. Mr. Integrity had me crying as I was able to relate so well. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Shitlist - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Vocals of L7 in This Ain’t Pleasure really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm.
