L7 L7 MP3

L7 L7 imageThis is one of the best Cd’s L7 has dropped to date. Lead single “Bite the Wax Tadpole” and “Cat O’ Nine Tails” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. While no new L7 album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1990 tour in Europe. This is what good Metal: Alternative should be.

Cat O’ Nine Tails - My least favorite song on this album. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in L7. Let’s Rock Tonight - arguably the best track on L7 album. Uncle Bob is one of the coolest songs L7 has ever recorded. Although Snake Handler is very melodic it is far from sad. Runnin’ from the Law as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Cool Out is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. The sound of It’s Not You is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. The sound in I Drink is really warm and L7’s signature voice is still very much present. Ms. 45 - Okay, I just talked about depth.
