Since completing 1988’s ‘Jezero / Der See’, Laibach fulfilled their contract with Savoy Records and where under no obligation to release another album. There is no doubt that Laibach has talent. This is one of the best Cd’s Laibach has dropped to date. Smart music for smart people.
One listen to the sheer beauty of Valjhun / Waldung was all I needed. Delak is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Koza / Die Haut is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Laibach ever produced. Jagerspiel - My least favorite song on this album. Bogomila - Verfuhrung (4:51) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Wienerblut is nothing but pure genius. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. I think Apologua Laibach / Laibach - Apologie is the best song Laibach has ever done. Herzfeld is one of the best records ever. I was truly moved when I heard Krst / Die Taufe, Germania.
