This is the first studio album from Laibach since bad diagnosis in 1987. Laibach’s debut, ‘Opus Dei’, does not fit easily into one genre. There is so much to love about Laibach, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Last Hot Album by Laibach
Geburt Einer Nation is a bit of a show-tune. Leben - Tod marked the continuation of Laibach in style evolution. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Within the first few notes of Opus Dei it’s perfectly clear that Laibach is living this song. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. What sets How The West Was Won apart is Laibach’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. From the moment you listen to The Great Seal you’re hooked. Herz-Felde - My least favorite song on this album. Jaegerspiel - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Laibach. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Opus Dei. Krst (Baptism) is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done.
