This is the first studio album from Laid Back since bad diagnosis in 1985. Laid Back had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. It has been seven years Laid Back’ last studio CD, “Play It Straight” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. I Love Play It Straight from start to finish!
Lyrics of White Man are precise and evocative. After about the third Don’t Run From Your Shadow listen through, I began to believe this song is Laid Back’s essence. I’m Hooked - Laid Back first major hit. One Life (3:19) a good melody. Amu-Dhabi is so unique, as each one of the songs is. This track is clearly meant to showcase Laid Back’s vocal abilities. Do You Know What It’s All About had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Laid Back sings his heart out in C.C. Cool. Opening track Track 10 shows the best of Laid Back.
