On the Bulgaria charts, superstar Lionel Hampton and Stan Getz’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. On Hamp and Getz album, Lionel Hampton and Stan Getz have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Hamp and Getz isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Hamp and Getz.
Louise is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Ballad Medley have really caught my ear and imagination. Jumpin’ at the Woodside is a song to enjoy for years to come. After you’ve listened to Gladys, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. It’s such an underrated song.
