After debuting at No. 1 last week, Love Is Colder Than Death’s album Teignmouth falls to No. 2 with 417,000, a sales slide of 64%. Since Love Is Colder Than Death last CD (Teignmouth) on Savoy Records back in 1991, I have felt a massive void in my life. It has been twelve years Love Is Colder Than Death’ last studio CD, “Teignmouth” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Love Is Colder Than Death ever.
Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Very Ill is my favorite song on Teignmouth. This song stands out greatly from the others. What sets Town E. apart is Love Is Colder Than Death’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Questo Mostrarsi is simple, dignified and effective, Love Is Colder Than Death refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. From the Fog is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Love Is Colder Than Death released so far. I’ve found myself listening to Island back to back and back many times. Abiata sets the tone for the entire album. After about the third For One Ludwig F. listen through, I began to believe this song is Love Is Colder Than Death’s essence. Once you hear Sex and Horror, you will listen to it over and over. Chorn is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Wild World - To me, this is the best song on the Teignmouth. Exit Out - This one is lively and fun.
