It has been one years Luka Bloom’ last studio CD, “Riverside” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. one years ago, Luka Bloom briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Dreams In America”. Luka Bloom was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Luka Bloom and Riverside together. Such great and happy songs.
Dreams In America is almost impossible to review. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Riverside is Over The Moon. Gone To Pablo is excellent and different song. I can’t stop humming along The Man Is Alive. An Irishman In Chinatown had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Rescue Mission is nothing but pure genius. Best song on the album, love it. Hudson Lady - A nice song. I have all of Luka Bloom’s tracks and This Is For Life is probably the most his introspective effort. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. The Hill Of Allen is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood.
