This twelve-song debut EP shows the promise that Madredeus has. This album has some very good songs like A Cantiga Do Campo and Amanhu. Lisbon Vol.2 isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Check it every song is worth the money for the Lisbon Vol.2 CD!
This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. I find myself hearing bits of A Sombra here and there throughout my waking hours. The opening track Solsticio is very much like you would expect from other albums. A Estrada Do Monte is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. A Vaca De Fogo is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. This track is clearly meant to showcase Madredeus’s vocal abilities. As Montanhas one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Madredeus has astounded me with this amazing track. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Fado Do Mindelo from the beginning to the end. O Pastor is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses.
