City Called Heaven gets you up and jumping. Strong, powerful vocals of Mahalia Jackson in Come to Jesus (Pt. 1) are very impressive. Go Tell It on the Mountain is possibly the best song Mahalia Jackson has come up. Lord’s Prayer (2:51) a good melody. I like Walking to Jerusalem because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Come to Jesus [Conclusion] presents the excellent mix of instruments on Christmas with Mahalia Jackson. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. God Spoke to Me - This is a very lively song. Silent Night is beautiful, yet underrated track. In His Eye Is on the Sparrow full palet of sound is used by Mahalia Jackson to accentuate the presentation. He’s My Light defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone.
