Now signed to Mark Isham’s Mute Records, the title track from second album “A River Runs Through It” leads Mark Isham’s back-to-school campaign. A River Runs Through It touched my soul like nothing else.
Casting Presbyterian Style is one of my favorite songs by Mark Isham. A Land Filled With Wonder - a classic song. So much energy, so exciting a sound.A Summer Of Lumber And Fishing - This is a very lively song. Shooting The Chutes (1:54) - awsome. Three Fisherman is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. A Trip To The Unknown stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. I listened to the opening track A Four-Count Rythm and liked it a lot. The Sheik Of Araby is the first taste of the new album. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Je Ne Sais Quois is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Swing Me High, Swing Me Low rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. A Place Remembered - I just love it. A Remark Was Passed (2:24) a good melody. Rugged Cross is outstanding work of Mark Isham. Muskrat Ramble on A River Runs Through It is solid and easy to listen to. Rawhide is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. The Wild Ride is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Mark Isham released so far. Early Departure is just simply stunning. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. I can’t stop humming along Jessie And Norman. Lolo’s is a very catchy tune. I like the idea behind The High Road. No Mark Isham song has come close to capturing my attention as Yes, Quite A Day did. A Fine Fisherman And The Big Blackfoot River is one of the best records ever. The Moment That Could Not Last is probably one of Mark Isham’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Without Complete Understanding. In The Half-Light Of The Canyon - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Haunted By Waters-A River Runs Through It (Reprise) is possibly the best song Mark Isham has come up.
