Now signed to Megabyte’s Capitol Records, the title track from second album “Island Energy” leads Megabyte’s back-to-school campaign. Stanley Donwood has compared writing for Megabyte’s new album to that on ‘Island Energy’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. It’s natural for Megabyte to take a stab at ‘Island Energy I’ considering her long-professed love for Orkrist. IT makes me wanna dance!
Once Arrow Meditation gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. I can’t stop humming along Groovy Sports. Ave Maria is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Bodydance is simple, dignified and effective, Megabyte refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Monte Jandia (4:27) a good melody. Sunny is outstanding work of Megabyte. Island Energy Ii is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Spanish Prayer - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Beachparty is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. As always, Megabyte’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again.
