Michael Nyman Band and Ute Lemper was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Michael Nyman Band and Ute Lemper and Songbook together. I now have Es war Erde in ihnnen (Paul Celan) as one of my personal favorites. Psalm (Paul Celan) motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Corona (Paul Celan) is one of the best records ever. Nachtlich geschurzt (Paul Celan) is a great opener for Songbook. Music of Blume (Paul Celan) is gentle, never overbearing. Come and go (Ariel Songs, Shakespeare) is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. While you here do snoring lie (Ariel Songs, Shakespeare) is one of the more up-tempo songs on Songbook. Full fathom five (Ariel Songs, Shakespeare) I just LOVE this mix! I am an unusual thing (Mozart) is the funkiest number on the album. Allez! On previendra les reflux d’incendie (Rimbaud) - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Opening track Quand tes pieds ont dance (Rimbaud) shows the best of Michael Nyman Band and Ute Lemper.
