When you buy a Michael Nyman album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Michael Nyman had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Michael Nyman’s album The Draughtsman’s Contract falls to No. 2 with 375,000, a sales slide of 85%. I wish that “The Draughtsman’s Contract” album was instrumental.
The Disposition Of The Linen as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. The Garden Is Becoming A Robe Room is worth the money. Music of Queen Of The Night is gentle, never overbearing. An Eye For Optical Theory is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Simple and heartfelt closing track Bravura In The Face Of Grief closes The Draughtsman’s Contract on a high note.
