While no new Mike Mareen album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1989 tour in South America. It’s natural for Mike Mareen to take a stab at ‘Lady Ecstasy’ considering her long-professed love for Depeche Mode. When you buy a Mike Mareen album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Lady Ecstasy touched my soul like nothing else.
This is one hell of a track. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Kung Fu Clan because the melody in the chorus is so good. I can’t stop humming along Sugar and Spice. Do It is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Joy (In My Heart) - another great track from the Lady Ecstasy album. Das Rhythm - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. La Donna - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Nervous is simply marvelous. By You By to me is the best you can get from Mike Mareen. Right Into My Heart the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. I was truly moved when I heard Questa Notte.
