Ivan Grach has compared writing for Minassian and Friends, Levon’s new album to that on ‘The Doudouk - Beyond Borders’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. I am not a real Ethnic music type of person, but i have to admit ‘The Doudouk - Beyond Borders’ really is amazing. IF YOU LIKE ALL Minassian and Friends, Levon’S SONG GO FOR IT! I greatly enjoyed this CD.
im yarris ; pour mon amour / for my love - For me, this is the best of the album. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Odjaroum; au foyer / come home is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Lousniag Kicher ; clair de lune / Moonlight (traditional) without a doubt is the standout song of The Doudouk - Beyond Borders. Strong, powerful vocals of Minassian and Friends, Levon in Horovel; chant du labour / work song (traditional) are very impressive. Track 3Yeraz ; reverie (traditional) is another favourite of mine. Der Vorghormia ; seigneur misericordieux / merciful lord which is my favorite is a truly Minassian and Friends, Levon sounding song. Hol ara veze ; l’appel de la terre / call of the earth defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone.
