There is no doubt that Paul Motian has talent. There were many famous songs of Paul Motian available. There is so much to love about Paul Motian, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like On Broadway, Vol. 1.
Musically Over the Rainbow is superior to other tracks in On Broadway, Vol. 1. Blew our minds when we first heard They Didn’t Believe Me. What Is This Thing Called Love? is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Last Night When We Were Young is a bit different from Paul Motian stereotypical stuff. Best song on the album, love it. I have all of Paul Motian’s tracks and Someone to Watch Over Me is probably the most his introspective effort. So in Love is a medium tempo tune.
