IF YOU LIKE ALL Peabo Bryson’S SONG GO FOR IT! eleven years ago, Peabo Bryson briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Can You Stop The Rain?”. Anthology is an amazing album, racked with beauty.I greatly enjoyed this CD.
Peabo Bryson has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Crosswinds - I just love it. Feel The Fire is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Peabo Bryson. Listening to I Can Make It Better you can hear that Peabo Bryson has still amazing chemistry with band members. I Love The Way You Love is one of the more up-tempo songs on Anthology. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. If You’re Ever In My Arms Again is probably the highlight of the album. Impossible one of the best in my collection. This song may be the most meaningful. Peabo Bryson rocks harder than ever with Let The Feeling Flow. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Minute By Minute. Piece Of My Heart is simple, dignified and effective, Peabo Bryson refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. The sound in Reaching For The Sky is really warm and Peabo Bryson’s signature voice is still very much present. Simple and heartfelt closing track Remember When (So Much In Love) closes Anthology on a high note. Although You’re Lookin’ Like Love To Me is very melodic it is far from sad. She’s A Woman gets you up and jumping. Show & Tell - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Peabo Bryson. It’s such an underrated song. The opening track Turn The Hands Of Time is very much like you would expect from other albums. If you are a Peabo Bryson fan, you will love Underground Music. We Don’t Have To Talk (About Love) - A catchy, upbeat tune. Lovers After All is the song that really did it for me. Gimme Some Time to me is the best you can get from Peabo Bryson. After few listenings I started to like What You Won’t Do For Love more and more. Without You has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Maybe is the albums biggest surprise. Tonight, I Celebrate My Love defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone.
