‘A Maid That’s Deep in Love’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Pentangle was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Pentangle and A Maid That’s Deep in Love together. There is so much to love about Pentangle, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Such great and happy songs.
Lord Franklin is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Rain And Snow is one of the best records ever. Although Cruel Sister is very melodic it is far from sad. Within the first few notes of Wedding Dress it’s perfectly clear that Pentangle is living this song. In Omie Wise Pentangle is at his best. Will The Circle Be Unbroken is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. When I Was In My Prime is a good listen every once in a while. When I Get Home is such a astounding and optimistic song that things can get just better.
