Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Pizzicato Five on ‘Party joke’. ‘Soft Landing on the Moon’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. On Soft Landing on the Moon album, Pizzicato Five have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Enjoy the show.
I have all of Pizzicato Five’s tracks and Bellisima’90 (Live in Tokyo) is probably the most his introspective effort. Temptation talk - I just love it. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. They all laughed (K-Taro Takanami & Nomiya Maki) is a cool, simple song by Pizzicato Five at the top of his game. I think Yubikiri is the best song Pizzicato Five has ever done. When listening to Let’s go away for a while, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Let’s go away for a while (Reprise) is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Musically Sex machine is superior to other tracks in Soft Landing on the Moon. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Pizzicato Five. Boy meets girl is one of these floating songs. Two sleepy people (Dub mix) is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Planets actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Pizzicato Five’s face. World standard (Poet reading by Mr. Yoro) (3:44) a good melody. Top 40 is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Intermission (Bopcats by Tajima Takao) is really the reason why I recommend buying Soft Landing on the Moon. Once Aloha de blues gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. You have to get essence of the Let’s spend the night together (Tajima Takao)’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Couples is possibly the best song Pizzicato Five has come up.
