This is the first studio album from Richard Burmer since bad diagnosis in 1992. Jim Jones has compared writing for Richard Burmer’s new album to that on ‘Invention’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Richard Burmer was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Richard Burmer and Invention together. This is my first Richard Burmer Album and i must say i am blown away.
Promise Of Return is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. It’s such an underrated song. No Richard Burmer song has come close to capturing my attention as Landing did. Overall a nice softer song. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Music of Walking Summer To Sleep is gentle, never overbearing. Easter Eye one of the best in my collection. Curio Dance #2 is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Richard Burmer is one of artists that allow his songs like This Picture Will Never Fade to stand on their own and be heard.
