This disc has all of the essential Rustavi Choir classics. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Rustavi Choir’s album Georgian Voices falls to No. 2 with 720,000, a sales slide of 82%. It has been five years Rustavi Choir’ last studio CD, “Georgian Voices” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Tsmindao Chmerto and Tshkenosnuri (Riding Song) is really good.
Tshkenosnuri (Riding Song) one is one of the better boring ones. The opening track Mival Guriashi is very much like you would expect from other albums. Charming song, great melody. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. In Langvash (March) it becomes nowhere more obvious that Rustavi Choir has yet to define own style. Rustavi Choir is one of artists that allow his songs like Odoya (Work Song) to stand on their own and be heard. In Hasanbegura (Historical Song) Rustavi Choir is at his best. Mirangula (Lament For A Lost Son) - a classic song. Chakrulo (Table Song) is the albums biggest surprise. Sabodisho (Healing Song) - This is a very lively song. I like to sing along with Lechkhmuri Makruli (Wedding Song), though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. I hope to keep hearing Rustavi Choir works for a long time to come.
