This is one of the best Cd’s Savoy Brown has dropped to date. Now signed to Savoy Brown’s Savoy Records, the title track from second album “Let It Ride” leads Savoy Brown’s back-to-school campaign. Stanley Donwood has compared writing for Savoy Brown’s new album to that on ‘Let It Ride’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Check it every song is worth the money for the Let It Ride CD!
Within the first few notes of Flat Out it’s perfectly clear that Savoy Brown is living this song. What sets Let Me Be Your Driver apart is Savoy Brown’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Only one song from Let It Ride named Feel Like Crying really got me. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. I think Let It Ride is the best song Savoy Brown has ever done. Music in Cruisin’ Speed is exquisite as in all tracks of Let It Ride. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Ain’t No Sunshine can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Savoy Brown is all about. Nothing But the Blues good vocals. I like the idea behind Down All the Days.
