Symphony no.1 carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. While no new Schnittke, Alfred album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1992 tour in Asia. It has been eight years Schnittke, Alfred’ last studio CD, “Symphony no.1″ which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Symphony no.1.
Don’t judge Second Movement on the first listening. Third Movement is a bit different from Schnittke, Alfred stereotypical stuff. Music of Fourth Movement is gentle, never overbearing. Applause to me is the best you can get from Schnittke, Alfred.
