After debuting at No. 1 last week, Shelter’s album Attaining the Supreme falls to No. 2 with 973,000, a sales slide of 50%. Lead single “Better Way” and “One concern” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. After seeing Better Way, I had to have a good Shelter cd. Attaining the Supreme is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
I believe One concern is one of the most cool, heartfelt songs ever written. In Praise of Others is the funkiest number on the album. Consumer is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Progressive Man - To me, this is the best song on the Attaining the Supreme. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Hands of Time is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Knowledge of the Absolute is astounding song though, very addictive. Busy Doing Nothing is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. I came to like Shelter. Chanting and Singing Part 1 - I just love it. Chanting and Singing Part 2 - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites.
