Since completing 1992’s ‘The Bird Medley’, Sonny Rollins fulfilled their contract with EMI Records and where under no obligation to release another album. There is so much to love about Sonny Rollins, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. On the Singapore charts, superstar Sonny Rollins’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Overall, I would highly recommend The Complete Prestige Recordings (Disc 7) CD.
B. Swift had me crying as I was able to relate so well. You have to get essence of the My Ideal’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Sonny Boy great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Sonny Rollins is one of artists that allow his songs like EE-AH to stand on their own and be heard. Music and lyrics of B. Quick creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming.
