I am not a real Comedy music type of person, but i have to admit ‘The Best of Spike Jones’ really is amazing. It has been one years Spike Jones’ last studio CD, “The Best of Spike Jones” which won Array Academy Awards� and was nominated for album of the year. It’s natural for Spike Jones to take a stab at ‘Hawaiian War Chant’ considering her long-professed love for East 17. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like The Best of Spike Jones.
I hope to keep hearing Spike Jones works for a long time to come. Der Fuehrer’s Face is worth the money. You Always Hurt The One You Love is one of the best records ever. After few listenings I started to like The Man On The Flying Trapeze more and more. Music in Laura is gorgeous as in all tracks of The Best of Spike Jones. None But The Lonely Heart is a song to enjoy for years to come. The Glow Worm makes a person feel marvelous. My Old Flame had me crying as I was able to relate so well. In Chloe it becomes nowhere more obvious that Spike Jones has yet to define own style. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think William Tell Overture is my favorite song on The Best of Spike Jones. Cocktails For Two has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Spike Jones’s strong vocals come to the fore.
