Lead single “Anything” and “I’m So Into You” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. For older fans It’s About Time will put a massive smile accross your face. I am not a real Blues music type of person, but i have to admit ‘It’s About Time’ really is amazing. This album is in perfect progression from SWV!
I’m So Into You is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Right Here - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Weak is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. SWV sings You’re Always On My Mind in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in It’s About Time. I like to sing along with Coming Home, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Listening to Give It To Me you can hear that SWV has still amazing chemistry with band members. Blak Pudd’n - A nice song. It’s About Time is one of my favorite songs by SWV. Think You’re Gonna LIke It - This one is lively and fun. That’s What I Need is a good listen every once in a while. SWV (In The House) is simple, dignified and effective, SWV refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Weak (A Cappella) has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets SWV’s strong vocals come to the fore. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit.
