John Digester has compared writing for Talitha Mackenzie and Martin Swan’s new album to that on ‘Mouth Music’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This album has some very good songs like Bratach Bana (White Banners) and Co No Mire Rium. On Mouth Music album, Talitha Mackenzie and Martin Swan have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This album is awesome.
Talitha Mackenzie and Martin Swan is one of artists that allow his songs like Co No Mire Rium to stand on their own and be heard. Mor A’cheannaich is a good listen every once in a while. In Martin Martin the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Music of Chi Mi Na Morbheanna is gentle, never overbearing. I Bhi A Da - For me, this is the best of the album. Mile Marbh’ Aisg Air A’ghaol is a very catchy tune. This track is a great song that still never gets old. I love the melodic melody of Fraoch A Ronaigh and to this day it makes me feel good. Seinn O! (Sing!) is probably the most interesting track on Mouth Music.
