Going In Circles is a song to enjoy for years to come. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Love Or Let Me Be Lonely is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything The Friends of Distinction released so far. I Really Hope You Do make listening to The Friends of Distinction like being in some sort of time warp. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Down I Go is another strong production from The Friends of Distinction. Didn’t We is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Great Day still maintains something of a specific flourish. Simple and heartfelt closing track Let Yourself Go closes Golden Classics on a high note. I Don’t Matter To Me is simple, dignified and effective, The Friends of Distinction refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Lonesome Mood - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. If you are a The Friends of Distinction fan, you will love I’ve Never Found A Girl.
