Since completing 1992’s ‘Christine’, The House Of Love fulfilled their contract with Blue Note Records and where under no obligation to release another album. The House of Love carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. The House Of Love was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from The House Of Love and The House of Love together. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Hope
I can’t stop playing Hope. Road is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Sulphur motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. The House Of Love sings Man to Child in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. I like the idea behind Salome. Love in a Car - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Happy is a exquisite song and it grows on you. The sound of Fisherman’s Tale is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Touch Me - A nice song.
