one years ago, The Shadows briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Up To Where We Belong”. There were many famous songs of The Shadows available. This disc has all of the essential The Shadows classics. Another great offering from The Shadows.
Up To Where We Belong - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Take My Breath Away is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Theme From The Deerhunter is the first taste of the new album. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Walking In The Air. If You Leave Me Now - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. One Day I’ll Fly Away make listening to The Shadows like being in some sort of time warp. Africa gives good insight into the truths. Every Breath You Take is the most memorable and perfect. Memory is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Nights In White Satin - a classic song. Candle In The Wind is probably the most interesting track on Themes and Dreams. You Win Again is The Shadows’s best work in years. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Blew our minds when we first heard Just The Way You Are. I find myself hearing bits of Moonlight Shadow here and there throughout my waking hours.
