When you buy a The Smokin’ Joe Kubek Band album, you know exactly what you’re getting! It’s natural for The Smokin’ Joe Kubek Band to take a stab at ‘Way Down There’ considering her long-professed love for Gridlok. Since completing 1992’s ‘Way Down There’, The Smokin’ Joe Kubek Band fulfilled their contract with EMI Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Just For A Little While have really caught my ear and imagination. The sound of Love To Live The Life is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. In That’s What I’ll Do For You full palet of sound is used by The Smokin’ Joe Kubek Band to accentuate the presentation. Little Girl catches attention immediately, Good Understanding - I like this one. Some call Overdues from Chain Smokin’ Texas Style as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. In Come By Here The Smokin’ Joe Kubek Band spins a tale you want to hear to the end. I’m On My Way is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Chain Smokin’ is probably one of The Smokin’ Joe Kubek Band’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Walk With You is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. I came to like Soft Touch. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists.
