For older fans Violunar will put a massive smile accross your face. Violunar is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Thomas Kagermann on ‘The Affair’. Violunar is not something you should pass up.
Free Again - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Venus - The Morning Star stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. I can’t stop playing Deep Water. Obscure Places is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. I’ve found myself listening to Boulevard St. Marie back to back and back many times. Shining without a doubt is the standout song of Violunar. The Moon is perfect. The Passion is one of the best records ever. Oriental Pettycoat is possibly the best song Thomas Kagermann has come up. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Ridin’ The Gipsy. Devachan has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Thomas Kagermann’s strong vocals come to the fore. When is another favourite of mine.
