Perfectly Frank is an amazing album, racked with beauty.I am not a real Jazz music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Perfectly Frank’ really is amazing. There is no doubt that Tony Bennett has talent. Tony Bennett is one of my favourite bands of all time.
It took me a little time but I ended up loving I Fall in Love Too Easily. East of the Sun (West of the Moon) pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Nancy is a bit of a show-tune. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. It’s such an underrated song. Musically I’ve Got The World On A String is superior to other tracks in Perfectly Frank. In I’m Glad There is You Tony Bennett is at his best. Once you hear A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square, you will listen to it over and over. Vocals of Tony Bennett in I Wished On The Moon really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. You Go To My Head is a amazing sing-along. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: The Lady Is A Tramp, which shows, blatantly, how much Tony Bennett has evolved as a singer. Music of I See Your Face Before Me is gentle, never overbearing. Day In, Day Out presents the perfect mix of instruments on Perfectly Frank. After about the third Indian Summer listen through, I began to believe this song is Tony Bennett’s essence. Call Me Irresponsible is perfect. Although Here’s That Rainy Day is very melodic it is far from sad. Last Night When We Were Young can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Tony Bennett is all about. I Wish I Were In Love Again has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Tony Bennett’s strong vocals come to the fore. A Foggy Day was the first single release from the album Perfectly Frank. Listening to Don’t Worry ‘Bout Me you can hear that Tony Bennett has still amazing chemistry with band members. Nice and different song. Angel Eyes to me is the best you can get from Tony Bennett. I’ll Be Seeing You hits the heart.
