Since Twinkle Brothers last CD (Live In Warsaw) on Mute Records back in 1989, I have felt a massive void in my life. While no new Twinkle Brothers album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1989 tour in Australia. On Live In Warsaw album, Twinkle Brothers have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Twinkle Brothers is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Breaking Down The Barriers - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Urban Babylon gives good insight into the truths. The sound of Beautiful Jamaica is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. What Are We Doing - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Twinkle Brothers. As always, Twinkle Brothers’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Jahovah is almost impossible to review. Strong, powerful vocals of Twinkle Brothers in African Nations Come Together are very impressive. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Free Africa is the most memorable and perfect.
