Since Vladimir Cosma last CD (L`aile Ou La Cuisse (Film De Claude Zidi)) on Columbia Records back in 1992, I have felt a massive void in my life. While no new Vladimir Cosma album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1992 tour in Europe. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Vladimir Cosma energies, virtually a rebirth. L`aile Ou La Cuisse (Film De Claude Zidi) touched my soul like nothing else.
Minestrone is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. After few listenings I started to like Jumbo I`elephant more and more. Vladimir Cosma allows each song to breathe and flourish. T. Bone Steak is possibly the best song Vladimir Cosma has come up. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on L`aile Ou La Cuisse (Film De Claude Zidi) is Barbe A Papa. Marmelade De Marguerite very upbeat. Vladimir Cosma sings his heart out in L`agnosie. Ile Flottante is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. I find myself hearing bits of Le Coup De Lapin Farci here and there throughout my waking hours. Choucroute Garnie (2:30) - awsome. The song feels complete.
