Lead single “Transmission” and “Strange Attractor” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. I am not a real Ambient music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Mariner Sonique’ really is amazing. Since Voice Of Eye last CD (Mariner Sonique) on Blue Note Records back in 1992, I have felt a massive void in my life. Unappreciated gift to Ambient
Strange Attractor sets the tone for the entire album. The Shadow Knew - This one is lively and fun. Deja Hier is the funkiest number on the album. Melange Nuit - I like this one. I loved Descending A Stare the first time I heard it. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Deep Be Vox - a classic song. Epitaph For King Lear gives taste of what makes Voice Of Eye special as a musician.
