I am not a real Jazz: Fusion music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Mr.Gone’ really is amazing. Mr.Gone carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Mr.Gone isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Another great offering from Weather Report.
River People - For me, this is the best of the album. Vocals of Weather Report in Young and Fine really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. The Elders is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Mr.Gone have ended. The song feels complete. I hope to keep hearing Weather Report works for a long time to come. Pinocchio rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Weather Report allows each song to breathe and flourish.
