After seeing Lollipop Mama, I had to have a good William Clarke cd. IF YOU LIKE ALL William Clarke’S SONG GO FOR IT! Lead single “Lollipop Mama” and “Lonesome Bedroom Blues” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. To me William Clarke is the best band ever.
I now have Lonesome Bedroom Blues as one of my personal favorites. Gambling For My Bread is a medium tempo tune. Greasy Gravy gives taste of what makes William Clarke special as a musician. Trying So Hard is a very catchy tune. Cash Money is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Must Be Jelly is a striking and quite long song. This song stands out greatly from the others. Looking To The Future is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Drinking By Myself is one of the more up-tempo songs on Blowin’ Like Hell. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists.
